Some Net users prefer to print out the web pages they are interested in and to read these pages offline at their leisure.

Printing out web pages has another benefit in that you are able to keep a record of the web page which may be very useful, especially as these pages change on a regular basis. Imagine using the information from a web page for research purposes and then finding that the information has changed a few days later.
When you print a web page, the web address, number of pages and date on which the page was printed are recorded at the top (or bottom) of the printed page, thus providing you with a permanent record of the page concerned.
